Shut Up Already!

Someone once told me, “Never forget, loose lips sink big ships!” Some of the biggest problems we fave in life are caused by opening our mouths and saying things we shouldn’t say. We have all had times when we said too much and regretted in later.

Marriages breakup, wars are fought, business deals are lost and friendships are destroyed by not knowing when to shut up. There are times you should just keep your opinions to yourself. Don’t tell everyone, everything you know, it could harm your relationship with them.

I have seen salespeople ready to close a sell only to blow it by not shutting up. By continuing to talk they actually talk the prospective buyer out of the sale. There is a time to speak and a time to be silent. The wise person recognizes the difference.

Someone once told me the best way to end an argument is to shut up! It is impossible to argue with someone who refuses to argue back. Guard your mouth. Watch your words.
