How To Be More Productive

There is nothing more exciting or fulfilling them accomplishment. You were made for productivity. If you are not been productive, you can be. If you’re productive, you can be more productive.

The following will help you to be more productive:

Be informed.
Knowledge is power. In order be more productive you must know what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and how it needs to be done. Skills must be learned that will assist you in doing things in a more productive manner. Attend seminars, read books dealing with your particular project, ask questions of others that have accomplish similar tasks to what you want to accomplish.

Get specialized training.
This goes hand-in-hand with point one, be informed. In order to be more productive, proper training is essential. Take courses that will help you develop your skills. Find a mentor or personal coach that can train you to be more productive. Work hard practicing the skills you develop.
Set goals.

Goals are essential to productivity. They keep you on track and give you something to focus on. The goals you set must be realistic, inspiring, and obtainable. The goals keep you moving in the right direction. Someone has said, "a goal is a dream with a deadline on." Your goals should stretch you. They should get you out of your comfort zone. They should push you to excellence.
Make plans.

Planning your work is also essential to being more productive. Great achievers not only plan their work; they also work their plans. A plan is simply a road have to guide you on the road to productivity. You can improve your planning skills by asking yourself to following questions when planning a project or task: What? Why? Who? Where? And how?
Do it!

While information, training, goals, and plans are essential to being more productive, they are futile without action. Great things are not accomplished by talking about them; they are accomplished by doing something about them. Someone has said, "Actions speak louder than words." Nothing could be truer. You will never be a person of productivity, unto you become a person of action.

Be aware.
To be more productive you must be aware of the things that rob you of productivity. Although there are many "productivity thieves," perhaps the following list will help you to be more aware of what can steal your accomplishment. Procrastination, lack of planning, lack of effort, negative associations, just to name a few.

Follow through with persistence.
In order be more productive, you must be persistent. Remember the saying you learned what you were a kid "quitters never win, and letters never quit." Well it's still true today. Great achievers have learned to never quit, regardless of the adversity. By never giving up on your ideas, goals, and plans, you will enjoy a life of greater productivity.

Go For It

What is the burning desire of your heart? What is the one thing you would do if money weren’t the object? If you knew you could do something you always wanted to do and that it would be successful, what would you do? The answers to these questions reveal the true deep-seated God-given dreams for your life.

Now, let me ask you something else. What is holding you back? Why aren’t you actively pursuing the dream in your heart?

Great achievers are not those who just have great dreams, they are people that are determined to make them a reality. They aren’t content to have good ideas, they are focused on bringing them to pass. The difference between achievers and non-achievers is not the dreams or ideas, but what they do with them.

I saw a sign once that simply said, “Don’t just dream it, Do it!” There are millions of people with great ideas that never accomplish great things because they never go for it. As Denis Waitly says, “The live on someday I’ll.” Someday I’ll do great things. Someday I’ll start a business. Someday I’ll lose weight. Someday I’ll write a book and so it goes.

To have what you’ve never had, you have to do what you’ve never done. You can live your dreams and bring your ideas to fruition if you will simply begin to do something to make them happen.

How to go for it:

Make a list of your dreams and ideas.
If you don’t have a concrete picture of what you want to accomplish, chances are you never will. By making a list you not only understand what you want to do but also how to get started. The Bible says, “Write the vision and make it plain, that they that read it may run with it.”

Start today.
Procrastination keeps many from never achieving great things. Good intentions are not good enough. There must be positive action. Don’t put the journey to the fulfillment of your dreams off until tomorrow. Begin to live in the now. It’s what you do now that determines your tomorrow.

Let go of whatever is holding you back.
Whatever is holding you back needs to be conquered if you are going to go for it. Face your fears, your insecurities and your excuses, defeat them and go on. Remember, every great achiever has had to face similar obstacles to their success.

Focus on the end result.
As author Steven Covey so aptly says, “Begin with the end in mind.” Picture yourself having already accomplished your objectives in life. Get a mental picture of how things are going to be once you’ve gone for the dreams you posses. By staying focused on the end result it makes the effort worth it regardless of the how tough it may get.

Find a role model.
Find someone from a similar background as yourself, that has accomplished their dream and model yourself after them. Talk to them. Ask them questions. Learn what they did to get where they are now. Allow them to coach you. Instead of learning from your own mistakes, learn from the successes and failures of others.

Believe in yourself and what you are doing.
You can’t accomplish anything if you don’t believe you can. If you believe you can or believe you can’t you’re right. Believing in your abilities and efforts is imperative to success in any venture that you enter into.

Make up your mind to finish what you start.
Don’t be a great starter. Be a great finisher. Be persistent. Quitters never win, and winners never quit. The Bible teaches, “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.”

Encourage Yourself

Have you ever felt like no one in the world understands you? Doe's it seem like no one cares about what you are going through? Do you ever feel like giving up? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this article is for you.

Everyone, from the greatest to the least, experience these sorts of feelings from time to time. Many times however, the only way that we can be encouraged is to encourage ourselves in the Lord!

King David despite winning many victories, had times when all of his allies turned against him. On one occasion, after returning from battle with his mighty men, he discovered that a band of Amalekites had taken the wives, children and property of David and all his mighty men captive while they were away. After crying until he could cry no more, the Bible teaches us that David’s own mighty men turned on him and wanted to stone him to death. They failed to remember what David had done for them; all they could see was that he was to blame for their loss. It was at that time that David “encouraged himself” in the Lord! (I Samuel 30:6)

Perhaps you find yourself in a situation where it seems like all your friends are gone. Maybe you feel as though everyone has forsaken you, and has left you to suffer alone. Maybe someone close to you has betrayed you. You may be facing a financial difficulty that there seems to be no way out of. Maybe the doctors have given you a negative diagnosis. Whatever it is you are going through, I have good news for you today. God cares about you and desires to see you win over the situations of life. Let me challenge you today to “encourage yourself in the Lord.”

Here are some keys for encouraging yourself in the Lord:

Remember your past victories

Take the time to reflect on some of the past situations that God has enabled you to overcome. Remember the blessings that you have already received. Recall the times when it seemed there was no way out, yet God made a way. Be assured, if God did it once, He will do it again!

Refocus on your life purpose

By refocusing on what God has called you to do you are able to take your mind off of the situation you find yourself in. By remembering your life purpose you become empowered with a sense of calling and perseverance. Remember that your provision is at the place of your assignment.

Spend time in God’s word

Spending time in the word of God causes your faith to grow. (Romans 10:17) Faith is the inner image of the finished product. It is seeing things as God says they can be, not as they may be at the moment. (Hebrews 11:1) You become encouraged in the Lord when you see what he has promised you in His word.

Let go of past hurts

This may be one of the hardest, yet most important, steps to encouraging yourself. You must learn to forgive and forget. We all have excess baggage from past experiences that will weigh us down if not dealt with. The Bible tells us to “lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us.” (Hebrews 12:1) It also teaches us to forgive in order that we can be forgiven and our prayers be unhindered. (Mark 11:25)

Associate with encouragers

Author Mike Murdock says, “Go where you are celebrated, not where you are tolerated!” There are some relationships that are toxic to your emotional, physical and spiritual well being. The Bible teaches us “Evil associations corrupts good manners.” (I Corinthians 15:33) Solomon wrote, “Iron sharpens iron.” If you associate with encouragers, you will be encouraged.

Refuse to allow yourself to wallow in self- pity

Make the decision to “encourage yourself in the Lord!” Determine to adjust your attitude. It is a true statement; “your attitude determines your altitude.
Begin to confess, “I am blessed and highly favored. Everywhere I go goodness and mercy follow me. God always causes me to triumph. This too shall pass. I am more than a conqueror because greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.”

If you will do this, you will be surprised at how fast you are encouraged!
